The Friendly Waxeye

My little friend the Waxeye (aka Silvereye or White-eye) is believed to be a self-introduced bird to New Zealand but it is protected as a native species. Its Māori name, tauhou, means "stranger" or more literally, "new arrival".
The bird looks great on a bold solid coloured backdrop. I played around with different background colours and decided on 4 variations.
