The making of my 2022 calendar tea towel or wall hanging began with a day trip to Kapiti Island. Which is on the west coast of New Zealand's north island. The flora and birdlife inspired me to create a watercolour painting depicting what I saw.
The experience is unique. Kapiti Island preserves some of New Zealand's most pristine bushlands and beaches. And has views over a protected marine environment.

I have entered my artwork in the 2022 Wall Hanging Calendar Design Challenge over on Spoonflower. You can vote for your favourite designs from:
Thursday 30 September (EDT) until Tuesday 5 October 2021 (3pm EDT).
Soon you'll be able to buy the artwork on Linen Cotton Canvas. Fold the edges and sew or use bias tape to make the perfect present for a friend or as a treat for yourself.
Here's to 2022 being a happier place for all creatures and people on our beautiful planet.
